General Do you wave/flash lights at other 500's

Im always seeing if 500 owners spot my wheels. Today at Asda I parked next to a white 500 with 16" multispokes :p they must be hard to clean

Tony I saw your car in Bournemouth when I was on Holiday, I didnt make a thread because I didnt know exactly where in Bournemouth I was.

There is a new BNW pop on my street in Cardiff that appeared a few weeks ago. (I spent plenty of time nosing through the windows at the interior while waiting for mine.) Anyway, we drove past each other today, and she flashed and waved at me, and I waved back like maniac! It is the first 500 I've met on the road and the friendly attitude put me in a great mood.

I wonder if the owner is on this forum - mine is a chazure start/stop.
Just so you're aware there is a whole section for spottings of various Fiats :)

From since i had the 500 12 months ago i have had 1, yes 1 wave back to me! So i dont bother anymore (n) i just have a look and go on my way

I've had my car for 10 days now and not seen another 500 driving on the road  i'm dying to flash at another 500 driver (my lights that is):).

I drive in devon and cornwall and know there must be other 500's but not seen any yet.

I always wave when I see another 500. (y) Sometimes people acknowledge me and other times they don't. What I have noticed is that most people when driving 500's and those that do acknowledge always seem to have a smile on their face too! (y)

There aren't that many miserable 500 drivers (but yes there are a few!).

I always wave at other 500's even the misery gut drivers who seem to have bought theri 500 seemingly not for fun but to sit in gurning at other drivers. I repeatedly wave at one woman, who looks almost angry I'm waving at her on a daily basis...it is brilliant!!!! Chin up love!

Then there is '60's man', who is brilliant; waving so enthusastically that his 500 wobbles at the junction every morning. He always makes my drive to work enjoable.

In summary I adopt the wave your hands in the air like you just dont care...I'd rather be stuck in traffic smiling than gurning!!

Lol I never wave unless they wave at me first, do give a big smile though. Only had 1 person who has waved in the 2 months I've had it so far - a yellow one - very 'carist' but would say you'd have to a pretty cheerful person to buy yellow :) .

Take almost as long as the rest of the car to clean properly  I still love em though!
As my car has only done 35 miles so far I haven't found this out yet! But I was feeling they were going to be a nightmare. (Especially with those brand new front brakes giving off all that dust!!)

Yeah they're a terror to clean. The reward though is they look fantastic when they're clean :)

Funny you should say that.

In West Sussex here, I see 500s all over the place. Went down to Somerset for a long weekend, and did not see a single one!

Get a coat of rimwax or similar on them whilst still new, it will save a lot of time later on. (y)

LOL rimwax

For some reason, there seems to have been an upswell in the number of 500s in my area over the last month or two.. from not seeing one for several days, I now regularly see 4 or 5 every time I go out on the road. Red seems to be very popular in the area, as does Cha cha azure. I just don't feel special anymore...

Also someone near work has a 500c in BNW with red roof, but its always there on the drive when I pass, whatever the time of day. If they're not going to drive it they might as well let mine sit on their drive and I'll have theirs!
