General Do you wave/flash lights at other 500's

Hi just wondered what other forum users do. Do you wave/flash lights at other 500's you see on the road? Do you normally get a response back? :chin:

I do if I see them in time. Mostly they wave or smile back. Apart from the girl in the red one last week who followed me for a mile to Sainsburys car park, but when she got out looked miserable, how car you in a 500

here in aus i'd be lucky to see a 500 every fortnight. And i drive all over town as well. But if i see another 500 i always wave, and 99% of the time i get a wave back. the other 1% they dont see me

here i go grinning away and am totally put off waving.
although we did pass a black 500 on a roundabout and the girl smiled and nodded

Thats sad....The only comparison i can make is when i used to be in the Triumph Stag owners club and the Toyota Mr2 Drivers club and we had a great "family" feel and always waved/flashed and i think the 500 should be like that, i'm definately going to wave when i see other 500's when mine is delivered.

Ahhhh I love Triumph Stags! Would love to have one some day. I saw a bloke driving one on the motorway once and I tooted and waved as I overtook him... but he looked at me like I was barmy.

Yes they are misery guts round here, went to the IOW this weekend, saw 3 other 500's and they all happily smiled and waved back.

Must be crappy Berkshire?

There's a Cha Cha Azure locally that always waves back, very nice looking car.

I live in Hampshire, and when I first brought the car I was waving all the time...... since then I have bumped into a few 500 drivers who don't seem to recognise that they belong to the exclusive 500 club.

I feel that it is the younger 500 drivers who give the most waves!

I will always wave at a fellow 500 driver, not matter if I get looked at in strange 'Who are you' kind of way.

At the moment I just have to content myself with a big smile when I see a 500 because they're so good looking. When ours finally arrives we shall definitely be waving/flashing at other 500s whatever response we get.

I always wave and am not gonna stop!
I can't believe the amount of people who don't wave and the amount of people who look so miserable when they're driving their 500s!
I can't help but smile when I'm driving my 500-it's such a happy car!

I find that most of the ones I acknowledge don't reciprocate and I think that the reason is that it is just a car to them, not everyone who drives a 500 is as enthusiastic as we are.

I find that classic car owners are the real enthusiasts and they wave 'til their arms fall off and then they use their legs,

Is anyone else old enough to remember when the AA patrols on their motorbike and sidecar combinations used to salute you if you had an AA badge on your grille?

Me too, I got my car from Research and I'm often driving about Nuneaton, Coventry and Birmingham. I've got stickers in the windows

I can remember her because she now works at Abarth and took me on the test drive for that too! It was Angela Davenport. She was great, really knew what she was talking about.

There is a new BNW pop on my street in Cardiff that appeared a few weeks ago. (I spent plenty of time nosing through the windows at the interior while waiting for mine.) Anyway, we drove past each other today, and she flashed and waved at me, and I waved back like maniac! It is the first 500 I've met on the road and the friendly attitude put me in a great mood.

I wonder if the owner is on this forum - mine is a chazure start/stop.
