I've just sold my 500 Lounge multijet 75, I have nothing but praise for this little car - especially when it came to trade it in - fantastic trade in value; i think you will find the 1.2 very gutless unless you keep the revs up which will destroy your hoped for economy, I swear I regularly saw 64mpg. I had no trouble with dpf it came on once in first week of ownership but then I used my 500 for daily commute not just in town. You will also notice the difference in motorway driving - the Multijet is fine all day at 70 and will easily sit at higher speed effortlessly - it feels like a bigger car; the only downsides were the terrible ride quality - it's also noisy on bad (motorway) surfaces, it was cold in the winter mornings - Fiat really need to offer heated seats! and (the reason I finally got rid - albeit after three trouble free years) it was just a little dull.... I like the advice about going down the Panda route if you're looking for economical motoring cos spec'd up 500s are pricey! Isn't there a new model Panda in the Pipeline? Regards
