Any advice would be so appreciated 😃.I'm Scottish/ Italian btw

Hi and welcome :)

Does it need to be an automatic?

All of these automated manual transmissions might be reasonably reliable when new, but the seals in the robot seem to give up after around 10 years.

So it either needs to be a newish car to give you a few years of reliable service, or you need to be confident about rebuilding hydraulic components.

I think if I needed an automatic car I would make sure I got a genuine torque converter gearbox Eg Suzuki Splash or Ignis.

Sorry there's not much positive response here, the Panda is a great car but there's a looong thread on here about DuaLogic issues:

There are lots of other failure points on the fiat system that fail way before 10 years old if it has been used for "city" driving.

This is a forum of people who like Fiat telling you not to buy an "automatic" fiat panda , 500, punto etc
