General Delivery time

Hello everyone,

I placed my order for my 500 on October 19 and the estimated delivery time is 50 days. Back in 2008 the delivery time was longer so this is the reason why im creating this thread. I'm asking the 500 owners to share their experience regarding delivery; When did you place the order, how long the delivery was and where in the world you are.

Of course i need some of the experiences of the the Greek fellows too.

My car was already part built when I signed up for it (so does not really count for your survey). But it was ordered in June 2010 and delivered within about a month I recall. I am in England (south east).

My life would be easier if there were ready for delivery 500 with some extras.

I ordered from the dealer on June 20 however I don't believe they entered it onto the system before July 7th!! I picked up my car on sept 1st so it was around 8 weeks for me.

56 days then! Mine was entered onto the system on October 20th.

Ordered 12 September, picked up 4th November. 53 days by my calculations.

I had the opposite issue. The dealer had around half a dozen 500s in stock when we went there in February. We chose the one we have but they really didn't want to sell them until March 1st for the new registration plates.

Chrislida! My car arrived in greece like after 50 days! I ordered 1 june 2010 and it arrived in greece end of july!

BUTT the dealer was too bored to be open 1-15 august so he asked me to pay like 20 days after it arrived to greece. I pay fiat immediately and then mr numberplate office (the ministry of transport) were too bored to process my car before 30 august! No i did not bribe them ( they dont deserve my cash)

I am interested to know how it goes for you! Hopefully quicker! I think the gist of it is there is a difference between car delivered in greece and car ready for pick up in greece!

I hope you get it in less than the 90 days it took me!

If the car is ready for delivery then it needs just 12-14 days for the customs,plates and the paperwork. At least this is what i have experienced from my two previous cars which where already buily and in Greece. I think that im kind of lucky compared to you because the estimated delivery time is not in August. But dont worry these things do not happen only in Greece. My mother had to wait for another month in order to get her C2 because of a strike in France.

Oh, i forgot to mention something important.... I called the dealer on Monday an he told me that the car is built and it will start its journey in a week... Does anybody know how they are transported? Do the cars go directly to the destination country or not?

St Albans near London, but I ordered from Palmers in Watford. Very good they were too.

2 months delivery time is what you should expect. Strikes and Christmas period might add some days...

I've ordered mine from the stock and the salesman told me something about 10 days...

So, one week more for me

5 days but mine was ment to be a demo and I bullied them into selling me it as I was the only one to test drive it!
