General Clutch issue

Hi my daughters got a 2012 fiat 500 1.2
And she complains intermittently it won’t go into gear and no matter what she does it won’t go in yet when I then go out to her everytime it’s happened and it’s absolutely fine all the way home and I don’t have an issue!
Any ideas

Sounds more like a gearbox, gear stick or gear cable problem.

With problems like this you often don't have to wait long for a complete failure, you'll know what it is then.

Do you have longer legs than her. As clutches wear the disengage point gets lower. Get her to move the seat forward one notch and see if she can drive it then. If this helps then you are heading for a visit to replace the clutch.

If you can select the gears without issue engine off, then I'd suspect the "clutch hydraulics " well know for failure as is the connector for the pipe under the wing passenger side.
