Hi does the car have an immobiliser if its pre-immobiliser (i.e. black keys) then you don't need the specific chip.

If it has an immobiliser I can make a specific chip. I just need the details from the Label on the standard chip.

from what ive read you can buy one that keeps your immobiliser working

yes, its called the specific chip. You give Mckrich the numbers off of your current chip and he makes one specific to your car.

Bit new to this but i have a 99 sei sporting and am after bit more poke (from the car!!) any ideas if your chip works on the 99 and have you still got the ones that keep the factory immobiliser?? as i dont want to have to fart about taking extras off the loom to stop a light comeing on!.

Fitted chip last weekend to 1242 8v with Tricker TB. Not an easy job to de-solder old chip but I had a spare ecu from a breakers. Car is smoother and pulls cleanly from tickover - well worth the price for the improvement to the car. My MAP sensor went bang on the way home yesterday but I doubt the two are related - new sensor fitted this evening and car running like a dream (for a few days anyway!!)

if you go up a bit someone just said-

well cinq come in 1108 and people do conversions to 1242's from the punto and they use there 1108 ecu with the chip

on paper the chip should work.

i am actually running the ecu from a punto 55 on my punto 60 engine in my cinq with the mckrich chip and it all works fine.

so i would assume that the chip would work with the punto 60 ecu as well, but im not sure so u cant take my word for it.
