Good morning everyone, I still have a 2009 Fiat Scudo Panorama (which I plan to keep for a long time) with an RD4 N1 02 car stereo. Bluetooth hasn't recognized new phones since 2012, and back then I installed a Parrot hands-free kit, which I was very happy with. Now, the Parrot's wireless remote control has crumbled due to the old plastic (for those who don't know, without this remote control, you can't do anything, not even pair a new phone and currently i'm without a hands-free). Since this remote control is incredibly expensive, I'm looking for an alternative solution.
  • Is it possible to update the software or replace the Bluetooth module in this car stereo to connect a newer smartphone?
  • Or is it possible to replace the car stereo with a newer model like the one installed in the 2016 Scudo?
  • Are there any other solutions that allow me to restore Bluetooth without losing the other functions of the on-board computer, sensors, or steering wheel controls without spending a fortune?
Thanks.
