I have just got rid of the crap by diesel stick on plastic bits on the door pillars and it looks way better I had put some vinyl on them before to try and tone down them but today I just pulled them off.

I have not got rid of the silly stick on plastic trim on the boot, the wing mirrors have been changed and the door pillars have gone.

It looks far better.
The next thing to go is the silver dash, I am getting some carbon fiber ones made and will put one on the car when they are done.

It really looks like the diesel stuff is just all stuck on with sticky pads...very easy to remove.

I am sure I will get some photos of it soon.

It had a bit to do with price, they had one in stock and if I did a factory order the VAT would have gone up and the car I did a PX on was dropping £400 per month so it would have cost me more.
Also I love the wheels and the interior is very nice.

i think the first may have been me.

A lot of people would think you're mad taking the 'by diesel' branding off. At a €2k premium over a 'standard' lounge or sport it seems crazy. But I have confidence in RUI and I'm looking forward to the new 500 'by RUI'. It will probably look better than the 'by GUCCI' which has been released in Italy. Jnoiles is also upspecing his car with Alca ? (suede material) - well only on the steering wheel but he's now considering it over the dash. Will this be a new trend of manning up the 500 ? Looking forward to the pictures RUI (y).

Everything I have taken off just sticks back on (thats how crap it is) so when I get rid of the car I can just put it back as it was when it came out of the factory.

Well at least it has the special wheels which are unique and the yellow calipers (& speedo) and the half leather with the nicer fabric (the best seats) and the sunroof ? - have I missed anything ?

Yes glass roof, bumper inserts, split rear folding seats and head rests, tinted rear and rear side windows, intrascope, metallic paint and the things you mentioned.

Very high spec.
So the roof does open. That's nice. On the one I was in(the diesel) the head room seemed a bit tight but in another 500 lounge with the retractable glass roof that seemed to have more head room. I assume it's the same roof in that the glass section comes out on top of the roof as opposed to retracting ?

Sorry no its just a glass roof it does not open

I think the climate control is still an option on the by diesel

i too have a Diesel and i have noticed that all the bits stick on, i have got a few odd looks when it says DIESEL on the doors and im filling it up with Unleaded lol, its too much hard work to stand and explain to some people though, i love mine, and i STILL have never seen another Blue one :)

:slayer:Why have you trashed the best looking fiat 500 by a mile. Just paint it BNW and be damned with it like every other fiat 500 on the road why why why!!!!!

He's not trashed it, he's removed bits that he doesn't like, in such a way that they can easily be put back on in the future by someone who does like the bits.

Looking forward to seeing the pics RUI, sounds a lot cleaner and less cluttered, they are a bit marmite

Boot light and illuminated vanity mirror too.

Cheers

Passenger grab handle and door protection sills ?
It's funny I thought the Passenger grab handles was only in the sport but its in my 2009 Lounge. I do miss the sills. & the boot light is handy - if I had a sport I would retrofit it.
Diesel really does appear to be a fusion of the Lounge and the Sport.
