General Bravo, what should I look out for?

we were originally going to have the stilo and bravo, but the stilo broked so we had to get shut of that rather than the saxo.

on the plus side, the saxo is a piece of **** to fix compared to a stilo

Is that because the saxo runs on rubber bands and has no electronics/electrics?:devil:

believe it or not i have over fueling problems and electrical gremlins playing with ignition causing misfires and engine management lights.

i get it all settled and sorted and the light goes out, then a month later- we lose a cylinder, then another, combined with warning light, then it refuses to start, then i get it going and it bounces the revs to 3k, then i sort that and its perfect. for a month.

it needs a good service, new plugs and new leads.

as well as a drive shaft

this is moving away from twincams thread now! he doesnt want a saxo, and niether did i, thank god i drive a bravo to get to work and back and distances

hi mate, i work for Fiat and i can say the bravo rarely comes back for any sort of defect/failure, just comes in for the usual annual service.
i own the multijet sport 150bhp and its a super car, a different class from its smaller brother, the grande punto.
the build quality very good- it feels solid compared to older generation Fiats.

If your buying from a dealer - haggle - as you WILL get a good deal - aim for the SPORT as it has everything, stick to the standard wheels(17inch) smoother ride, if you can get leather upholstery go for it, the leather is of good quality and you get cruise control, asr,a/c, blue and me, hill holder as standard as well as various other extras.

I upgraded from a Stilo to 150 T-Jet Dynamic six months ago. the only niggle's i've had are poor headlight illumination on country roads,Armrest is offset for a left hand drive vehicle, Bonnet opener is also on passenger side ie as per a left hand drive. No reliability problems. MPG a little disappointing but the performance makes up for this.

Overall a much better car than my Stilo and almost as quick as my 20v Marea was in a car with a group 10 insurance rating (The Marea was group 14).
