Hi all, have fitted a "Boot Buddy" to my new 1.2 Lounge to protect the boot and lock area (I am constantly lugging my work equipment in and out). It is basically a polypropylene tray which is held together by metal studs. There is a foldout mat piece which covers the lock area. Fitting was fairly easy, dropped the rear seats to give better access. It works well in my opinion and looks good too.
Have also given a light dinitrol coating to the undercarriage etc. to try and keep everything shiny. :)

Looks very good and certainly very useful. I use a 'cheap' cover from LIDL that I bought for a tenner. That drop down flap is a great idea. It's a shame it's so pricey.

I've had my fill of Cheap Reliable Affordable Products over the years, I think it's an example of you pay for what you get. Not expensive in relation to the cost of the new car. Should have added it comes in a Plastic Tube, think it's aimed at doggy types in the blurb.

On the 500s I've seen over the last 2 years I'm surprised at the number of them where the metal part of the back seat is scratched and starting to rust. And if you end up spilling stuff (half a 10 litre can of polybond ) when the back seats are dropped you could easily recover the £100 spent.
