Hi,

Yesterday my iPhone was connected to the Bluetooth on my 09 500,
today it won't connect my phone finds the connection but fails,a message box comes up on my phone stating make sure your in range etc,I've tried uninstalling it the Blue & me reinstalling with another pin still not connecting,is there a way of rebooting it at the car end as tried the phone end?

Thanks
Debby

I'm not an expert on this. Lets get that out of the way first!

What I would do ........ and this is from experience of other little niggles and also what other people have done ............... is to disconnect the battery.

Leave it disconnected for half an hour. Go and have a cuppa. (y)
Re-connect, switch on the ignition, then reset the date and time.
Hopefully, the B+M would have re-booted anew.
No doubt you'll have to pair up your phone anew too.

Good luck,
Mick.

Not sure if it'll help but you could try deleting all users/user data through the phone menu in the car and then re-pair the phone.

Thank you Mick and Piccolo,I will try both ill let you know how I get on.

All working now thank you for your help, just a question could lightening have anything to do with knocking it out only a house got hit a few road away? Debby

Good to hear it's working now.

What fixed it?
Deleting user data, or disconnecting the battery?
Maybe both. :)

Regards,
Mick.

When I first bought my car I had a lot of trouble with my (then) phone connecting via Bluetooth. After several re-pairings I suddenly found that, similar to Debby's, it just wouldn't connect anymore. I gather there may be a limit to how many devices may be paired to Blue&Me and, once reached, any new attempts to pair are locked out. I believe it was someone on the forum suggested deleting the user data and that worked for me. Fortunately my new phone works perfectly.

Of course this doesn't explain why Debby's phone stopped working but mine did much the same. In my case I know it was the phone's fault however.

Mine doesn't work either. I can talk on it, but music won't play. The Fiat guy gold me that iPhone with T-Mobile is not compatible with Blue&Me. I'm looking into a class action lawsuit.

It doesn't work with my Panda Cross either. As Evanay described, I can talk on it, but music won't play. I used to get around the problem with the clumsy solution of a stereo audio cable, but with a new iphone without the headphone jack, this is no longer an option.

So much for the "internet of things" when two big companies like FIAT and Apple can't do something as simple as pairing their Bluetooth devices...
