General Blue n Me Skip via steering and msg reader

Hello,

My blue and me works when playing music through USB cable ‘media player’ but i cannot skip songs on spotify through my steering wheel. My steering wheel buttons all work but just not when i am playing through media player.

My message reader also doesnt work, even though i can make calls through my BnM.

I have a 2013 Fiat 500C. Any comments would be really useful, thanks in advance!!

I think, and other members will be along, that the Bluetooth system fitted is just "too old tech" to do what you'd normally expect, one fix is 'simply' replace the radio with a aftermarket one that will be vastly better.

Unfortunately the blue n me is old tech these days! Our newer phones are just not as compatible with the b&m software and some of the functions such as message reader just don’t work
Before I upgraded my H&M to a newer stereo my message reader didn’t work either but I never had issues skipping tracks
Maybe try using a usb memory stick for music see if anything changes your Bluetooth should still pick up calls
