General All Season Tire recommendation?

Hi everyone, new here and have a question, thought it better to add to here than make a new thread. My little 2012 Panda (1.1 Active) is needing some new tyres. Currently running some Nexen NBlue HD Plus. Was going to go for those again, but was looking at some Vredestein Quatrac 5s. It'd be a bit more to replace to the all season, though it might be worth it.

what are peoples thoughts on this? I do a big 150/200 mile drive about once every 6 weeks, and likely doing that this weekend. Am I better changing to the all seasons? Not a crazy driver, and even if I was, the Panda wouldn't let me be haha!

Weighing up the pros and cons because I've never had all seasons, always had summers (didn't even know there were different tyres until recently!) and that's with 10 years of driving.

I finally went with the Continental All-SeasonContact as these were available at the dealer closest to my home. The Pirelli dealer was a jerk and couldn’t be bothered to call me back to give me a price and availability. So far so good. Smooth ride and fairly quiet…time will tell. Will put them to the test come December when we travel north….

I run the Q5s on my 4x4 and rate them highly. If it's worth something to you of just being able to jump in and drive, whatever the conditions, then it's a good investment. They'll be slightly less economical than Nexen ecos, but roughly 704.6% more reassuring in bad weather 😊

haha good advice. Nexens have been good as long as I've had them though having never had all seasons, maybe I'll see a huge difference during the winter!

Something to think about. I don't tend to do loads and loads of winter driving, and especially not during bad weather, but you never know when you'll get caught.

The difference would be huge. We've run nothing else for the last 6 or 7 years, I don't see the need in the UK now AS tyres have improved so much

After many moons of motoring and buying countless tires of all types, I have come to the conclusion that if you stick with the premium brands, Michelin, Goodyear, Continental, etc., you will see bugger all difference in grip in day to day driving, especially with a low powered car like the Panda. Just pick a brand and stick with it, you won't go far wrong.

For what its worth my personal preference if for Goodyear Vector 4Seasons.

Thanks for the advice. Never ran all seasons before in my life so maybe it's not worth the difference i'll get given i'm not driving like a maniac, mostly driving as an old man :)

Well I've just broken this morning and ordered a full set of Goodyear's for our other car.

Currently they are 20% off for four 72 quid each for a 16 inch 205/55 tyre fitted and balanced is good for anything never mind a premium all season.
