The Airbag warning light is on again!
This is a 2020 Ducato Motorhome in Australia. I have owned the van for less than a year, and have had the Airbag Control Module reset 3 times. Each time it is fine for a while, then up it comes again.
The vehicle battery is good. I have fitted extra earth cables, all to no avail.
Has anyone fitted a new Airbag Module to their vehicle?
I wonder is this must be my next move.

A common problem unfortunately.

Yes, only option is a new unit if yours fails repeatedly.

The new unit will need a proxy align, you can do this using multiecuscan.

The newer units are apparently much more robust. They switched to being made in the UK instead of Hungary I think, I haven’t heard of issues with the newer units.

What’s the part number? Some are much more expensive. I just replaced mine and it was nearly £400. :-(

Thanks for that. I will do some research to source a new module then talk to a dealer about the proxy alignment.
I assume that the long number on the unit is the part number.

That’s right, an example here.

Not cheap. :-(

The new module has a completely different part number to the original one.
It’s the same number as the one in Googlebot’s image above.

Supplied and fitted by a Euro vehicle specialist garage here in NSW Australia.
They deal with Ducato’s regularly. Sadly Fiat Professional dealers are few and far between, although the situation has improved slightly of late.
