General 500 - Boot Leak

Boot is leaking on the 500.

The trim on the boot lid door is wet at the bottom on either side of the lock along with the cloth door close strap. There is no water on the boot floor.

Its been to the Fiat dealer once already to have it repaired and it still has the same problem.

Suspect even though it is under warranty they just sprayed WD40 on it so will be going in again on Monday.

If the weather stays dry tomorrow I'll remove the trim and then put a hose on it...

Has anybody had the same problem and managed to resolve it?

i know on a few grande puntos the leak had been traced to the seal around the rear wiper, not sure if it would be the same in the 500

Rear number plate screw holes? bung them up and stick your plates on with tape?

Thanks for suggestions. Took the trim off and used a hose. Leak is coming from higher up and running down the inside of the boot door beside the window or higher up. Likely the rear window seal is leaking.

blimey how old is it? Thats one to keep an eye on, thanks for the heads up

Less than 2 years old. Still in warranty.

Been in the workshop for a few days now and still not resolved.
