I bought a BM91318H cat. along with a one piece centre pipe and back box for my wife's Panda 4x4 through distributor D & A Factors Dundee.
I've just fitted it and the two don’t match up
The cat runs straight to the drive for the rear axle and is about 8" short of meeting the centre pipe according to the paperwork it's supposed to fit
It looks like the pipe coming off the cat is at the wrong angle and too short or there’s a short bent pipe needed to meet the centre pipe
any help greatly appreciated.
I have pics if that would help

Thanks,

compare new parts with old parts ? should tell you all you need to know.

Pattern parts are likely to be slightly different but fairly close

I make all CAT for the 4x4 to be fiat part 55191955

As far as I can tell yours is compatible. But you should always compare the old and new to make sure the part in box is correct

looking through ePer. Can't see any small connecting pipe ?

On my exhaust the cat section is connected to the middle section with a flexible pipe like this IMG_1557.JPG

the distributor say's they've spoken to the manufacturers and they say the car might be a Japanese import and thats why the exhaust doesn't fit . I don't understand why that would make any difference to the construction of the car, the problem being the direction the downpipe comes off the Manicat

the old manicat had been broken off at the base of the cat and another pipe welded onto it

is there even such a thing as a different exhaust for a japanese import ?
surely the logbook it was an import ?

Phoned Fiat, even they cant explain why the exhaust wont fit. Looks like i'm just going to have to get a bridging pipe made up to suit
definitely a story attached to this car

Where are you based? I know a good exhaust specialist near Stafford and another in Devon who can make up a link pipe. None in-between unfortunately.

Can you cut the pipe under the car, move the front part to the catalyst outlet and joint with flex joint? Then fill in the gap with a straight pipe and exhaust clamps? Or even cut the front end out and fit a longer straight pipe.

unfortunately I'm in Fife
going to get a couple of 90' bends and try match up the pipes
