Has anyone else had the same problem as it seems that it must be a faulty unit to fail with such low mileage? My warranty ran out less than a year ago and hopefully Fiat will cover some or all of the costs.

Has anyone managed to get Fiat to cover the costs? Consumers rights act? Sales of goods Act 2015?

Your reply to the other current DPF thread implies that the DPF needs replacing because regeneration stopped due to a glowplug fault. In that case why would you suspect it to be a faulty unit? Any DPF that is not regenerating will become unrecoverable if you continue to drive.

When I've had problems I had the AA who forced a regen and then the next time I had the RAC out who forced a regen. Nether of them found a fault with glowplugs. I followed their instructions and had an oil change and auto electrician and a full DPF clean by a specialist. They removed the fault code so I could get home to sort the problem out. Also glow plugs should last over a 100,000 miles anyway.

Is that you on o'reiliys?

Forcing regens tends to be the same as cr*p IT guys saying a defrag will fix everything. Any tech saying that without any diagnostics specific reason should be avoided (IMO)

Does your van have Ad-Blue?
If not, where has it been serviced?

Have you seen https://www.fiatforum.com/threads/d...uro-6-egr-changed-what-do-i-check-next.491167 ?

That's my Motorhome on O'Reiliys and it has ad blue and serviced with fiat as per recommend intervals. Forced regen by both AA and RAC to clear codes after their diagnostics to get rid of error code.
