Hi all, I have a temperature warning and no reading on the sensor. I ordered a new sensor hoping would be an easy swap over but not sure if this is in my skillset :) as I think I need to find it then drain the coolant before replacing. Anyone know if it is possible to do without much coolant loss -or if someone has done this and thinks it is pretty easy to do anyway would be great to hear. I'm reasonably practical. It's a 2008 2.2 Relay - which I understand is the same as Ducato (Ford Puma Transit engine?)

So, quick update - I took the instrument panel out and twiddled the needle, also looked/poked at some cables in the area where I understand the sensor is - nothing obviously wrong. Also plugged in a very basic OBD scanner. I then reconnected the battery and surprise surprise I now have a temp gauge operating. Hopefully it stays that way.

Previously when it was not working I had an error on the instrument panel saying excessive radiator temp. This was when starting from cold so I this leads me to think I probably pushed something that made a better electrical connection.

I still have an engine warning light for error P0603 Internal Control Module Keep Alive Memory that I'll go and research on
