Had to explain this to pirus earlia too. 2 pipes, one for fuel, another for fuel tank vapours (charcaol canister).

Charcoal cannister!!!
Oi, that will have been Craigb244 then, he was after this car for the cage, obviously pinched the cannister instead :p

Cannister located in n/s wing or am i imagining this?
Guess it returns to this capped-off pipe feed on inlet manifold?....

Ouby, your car had one in correct me if i'm wrong?

I thought you wanted this to be a daily anyway, now your considering it to be a track car? Or just bragging rights that you have a cage :D.

Neither! :p
Removed cage, my insurance quotes became rather rude, & i don't like banging my head on it :bang:
Would have kept it if driving a 16v- scary performance

N/A 16v isn't that beasty you know :D. Scary power comes from snails on your exhaust.

What is your price for the cage then? If it's reasonable then PM me.

Thanks

Not another one :shakehead:
The quicker u guys help me get this running better the quicker i will get to cut out the welded in brackets. NO Fingers! put that plasma down :nono:

Sell the cage, buy a measquirt pre assembled and build your own loom.

Whilst building the loom multimeter all of the sensors to check for faults in the sensors.

You will notice a massive difference in power, reliability, and you will be able to control your MPG alot better.

Result (y).

Anyone know why i've got a Ford coil pack fitted? Is it any improvement on standard Fiat parts?
As long as system provides sufficient spark at the right time i didn't think it made any difference. Old plugs were surprisingly nice tan colour.
Need to replace one lead & i can't identify parts:
Leads = 097203 IF6
Coil pack = 128f-12028-CA 0277A

Any replacement coil pack that isn't a manufacturers original will normally be a made in taiwan/cheng poo version. But they are cheap, because they are cheap people and garages will still fit them.

The ford ones I would consider to be better than ours, I hate to say it.

Ford should be able to supply you a set of leads, if not there is a good DIY kit availible from MSD. 10mm thick leads that you can cut and suit to any length you need, will have the plugs supplied too.

I'm curious as to how he has managed to get the spark plug ends to fit, as the zetecs are 16v engines so the plugs will be the deep ones.

Would you be able to take one off and photograph it please, I have a feeling it may be some use to everyone on here (y).

Thanks

P.S. Fingers there are 2 types of zetec coil packs, the one pictured here is the exact same as the MSD (obviously the MSD will have much more powerful components), but the other version can mount the same leads as us. I have one in my garage, it's direct fit onto the mk2 fiat 16v engines (bonus).

Sorry for the delay....

Motorcraft 097203 1F6 HE
18,28,36 & 42mm cable length between plug/coil connectors.
Loom has been altered for single plug (IF you want wiring info it will have to wait for w/end, but i have faith that u can work it out :D)
When you say poo replacements do you mean motorcraft?

PS: OOPS! Coil pack was 928F-12029-CA
Common as hell & lots on Ebay.
