Technical '06 Panda crank sensor issue.....

That's what I thought at first but i didn't act on my own without being sure (seeing someone with the same ECU and see how it is assembled with his wire) but what i am sure of is the ECU was fully rotated or changed or both

We have checked these already with a test meter

But let's check the are in fact able to pass current

test light on battery positive to each of the 4 black and purple wires at the ECU

The bulb should be as bright as touching the test light on the battery negative

All should be the same

And touching aluminium case should be the same

No need to crank the engine

Cables should come in from the back

And the release latches at the front

Looks correct in the photo

Totally unmolested 04 Dualogic looks like this...
Earth wire to ring terminal under bolt goes into wiring loom.
Sorry I can't dismantle to look further - not my car.

That's the result and based on your question to Mr Magoo i remember that if you press the brake pedal while in 1st gear and crank the car automatically set it to neutral and start with a beep warning if no brake pressed it should not crank as i remember

Not sure if it's visible here but as you can see the vent on the ECU's back has been rotated so it's probably a long while back

Ok so new discovery: this ground had buildups where it should go under the 10mm bolt cleaning them now but the question is why won't it reach the 10mm bolt on the ECU? Where does this wire come from if you can please tell us irc

Awww bummer thank for the help turned out the heat shield is the one rotated but the worse thing is that the ground to the ECU won't reach even the nearer ground under the windshield is it safe to put it on the battery directly? I can merge it with another one on the battery negative terminal if it doesn't hurt as it's much closer

And one more thing I'd like to ask: anyone knows where does the bcm feed his negative and positive?

And this is the phenomenon that won't let me keep the BCM out of suspicions
