We're going to attempt to go to see Dune part 2 today. We'll see if I can still get around the theater on my crutches and hopefully tell my bladder to shut the hell up for a three hour movie.
If you can't, then well be hearing how the doctors have been telling you off and about your next ambulance ride!

That's so racist!! :D

I'm from a small town here, and there used to be 7 cinemas in it, though only 1 by the time I got to go in the 70's.

Kung fu hustle is very underrated, it's one of those I dont mind watching again. Most films bore me second time watching, I've got quite a good memory and remember them too well.
Kung Fu Hustle was something I downloaded without ever having seen. I got some stares from others on the plane when I was laughing my ass off. Especially at the snakes and the chase scenes. Heck, the whole movie.

We ended up not going today, opting for tomorrow. Seems like something I ate yesterday has me on a 'Cleanse', if you catch my drift.

We did go to see Dune Part 2 yesterday. It was very good and my bladder did behave itself. I guess we saw the 'Enhanced Sound' version. Think 'SenseSurround' of the 70s only better. And it is a full three hours without a potty break.

Today is the last nice late spring weather day for the next week or so. I wandered out to the garage to get some extra semi-conductors for a project that I'm wasting time on. While I was out there, I checked on a few things. Said to myself, "Self, you really shouldn't be messing around out here today because you're wearing a nice wool sweater that Mrs.Cheest will be rightfully pissed off if you get grease on it." Then I said, "Self, you are right, let's get out of here".

So, leaving the garage. The overhead lights are on two separate circuits. One switch for the lights over the bench, which is at the bench. Another switch for the rest of the lights by the side entry door. I shut off the lights at the door and said, "Crap, forgot the bench lights." I am on my knee scooter, I have to get that turned around to head back to the other switch. But, because I left the other lights off, I need to go past the bench light switch, turn the scooter around, and catch the switch on my way to the door. Because...dark.

Something catches my eye by the lathe. I pick it up, remember my wool sweater and put it down. I head over to the side door, stop and realize that I got to the door without turning off the bench lights again. Dammit. This happened two more times with more picturesque speech after each time I realized I went past the switch without shutting it off. The last time, I got smart and didn't bother turning the scooter. Just stopped the switch, turned it off, and left.

Playing with a 3d printer, I've got one to look at from a friend as it has an intemittent fault. Seems incredibly easy to print stuff off.

And that printer was only £140!

Since about Wednesday, I have had trouble getting a good nights' sleep. Saturday, I took three naps during the day that were 1.5 to 2 hours each. Those had Mrs. Cheesy somewhat concerned. Saturday evening, I developed a headache I couldn't shake. I managed maybe 3 hours of sleep Saturday night. The headache from Saturday morphed into a fcuking hangover headache I did nothing to earn. One of those where you tilt your head and your brain says, "Stop it. Stop it now." Along with chills. Mrs.Cheest was going full 'WebMD' on me and I kept telling her to leave me alone, I just want to sleep.

I laid down on the family room couch about 8am and woke up around 11. The headache, though past the hangover stage, was still there but the chills had ceased. I had a light lunch, along with some hot 'Tang' aka, Orange flavored sugar. Laid back down at 12 and did not stir again until 5. The headache was barely still there. I had some dinner and some of Mrs.Cheest homemade cheesecake. Mrs.Cheest is now afraid I won't get any sleep because I slept most of the day.

Haha, fooled her. I read until 11pm and called it. I took my cast off and I slept until nature called at 4am, then promptly fell back asleep. Around 6:30, I was awakened by a cold wet nose in my eye. Said nose needed to be let outside. I stayed up and made myself some more hot Orange flavored sugar. Then I had a light breakfast. No headache, no chills, and ready to take on the world. Well, as much as a one legged guy can.

As I was reading that, I was starting to worry a bit, but probably not as much as Mrs Cheest. Glad you made it out the other side. With all this socialising of late, you'd caught something.

We were trying to figure out what and where. We had the theater to ourselves and really had not gone anywhere else the past week. I've had no contact with the two petri dishes, aka, the grandsons for about two weeks. The only place I've spent time was in the garage and at the doctors office for an hour. My big worry was another sinus infection, but this late in March would be rare and I don't have the chills when I get those.

Oh deers mystery bugs. Getting old is a big bu**er.

In the Panda stopped at red lights on the 617 at mansield2in the bottom of thr dip by the rubbish tip. 2nd gear start, eco off, and a dash up the hill. Renault Clio gave up very quickly. The hooligan in the BMW M2 thought he could push us out of the way. That was his first mistake as there was insufficient space and I had seen him coming... and then he thought he would outbrake us approaching the roundabout, and that was his second mistake as I already decided not to have it. Then he thought he would go round the inside on the roundabout and he failed there too. He finally let rip after the roundabout, probably exceeding 100mph as he set off eastwards. That shinanigans dropped my mpg from 49.7 to 47.9. I think he will be less keen to try and shove a Panda off the road next time. He will need something better than that to do it. I couldnt go mad with three passengers in the car. I wonder what he would have thought if it was not encumbered by a full load of pasengers and luggage. Pretty silly I think. Daft I know but I dont like being pushed out of the way when Im doing the speed limit. Passed two camera vans today, and Im afraid they got no custom either. He he. Panda went up some very steep hills in the peaks and through some awful mud in the back roads of Lincolnshire when we diverted to go round a queue for a major accident. We did around 450 miles and averaged jsut a tad under 48mpg on the whole trip. I was playing with hill holder on the hills around Holmfirth yesterday, its quite handy on the narrow slippy lanes, suprisingly easy to use for stress free descents. The ease with which the Panda dealt with 1:6 hills with four people and the dog and the mud and hairpins was a joy.

Pandas on the top!

PS I like Holmfirth, full of Panda Crosses

Waking up and looking out the window to see the sun made me smile.

Being able to open the conservatory door and let heat into the house - thus saving on heating bills made me happy.

I went for a 5Km run and my knee didn't give me any jip, so that's good.

(Not mentioning car problems...)

We’re you visiting to audition for last of the summer wine? Holmfirth has always had a good panda 4x4 following from the MK1’s to the present

Yes their cool.

I used to make my own 3D CADs and print them off. Around 15 years ago I'd be paying a third party company around £50 each for your two printouts, and that was bargain basement. I've paid more than £140 for a single printout! And some companies wanted hundreds before even thinking about taking a job on.

The hard part is making your own designs. AutoCAD was very expensive, and there were always lots of errors. Although its easy to get someone else's design off the internet!

We've got solidworks at work, i exported some things we've sent out to be made, and gives very good results for a very basic printer.

I've trialled Solidworks but preferred AutoCAD 3D. IIRC then metal can be printed.

Sadly I have no reason to buy a printer anymore but I could have some fun with it :)

I've had to let Mrs.Cheest do most of the driving since February. I've always done 99% of the driving because she is 'uncomfortable' driving. I blame her father because he never did anything to help instill confidence. If you failed at something the first time you tried, you were useless to him.
Anyway, as she has been forced into driving, she has kind of taken to it. I now get a running commentary about how other drivers are too fast, too slow, idiots, don't know how to use turn signals, tailgate her, etc. Add to this, we went through a small town where the speed limit was 45 mph and she went through at 62. As I know how it will go if I say a word, I say nothing. I'm kind of waiting until she gets pulled over, then I will sit in the passenger seat with a s**t eating grin on my face.

Nah, just chasing Lemon drizzle cake and a cuppa! Plus Panda spotting. They couldnt tame me enough to be of any use.

I’ve had a very similar printer to that for a few years now it usually gets some exercise every few weeks but I probably don’t use it as much as I should

I do my own 3D design in blender and have a few models up on thingyverse

There’s a lot of cross’s round here up Skipton way, which is surprising as there’s no Fiat dealers, nearest is south Bradford
