Hi folks, just bought a 56 sedici eleganza and noticed you can get a arm rest from the accessories catalogue. Has anyone fitted one before and are they any good?

Hi there!

Bought one at the bay and mounted it in my Sedici. The arm rest itself is ok, offers some storing room for those items that tend to rattle and roll elsewhere. The fixing does not have any secrets that can not be solved. Maximum half an hour of work, if you have the tools at hand ;)
But: the mounting is not very stable, because there are only four screws into the original plastic console where the handbrake and the 4wd-switch is mounted. And this console itself is not very stable. So having your arm on it is no problem (thats what the arm rest is made for I suppose ;)), but any weight going on it and pushing horizontaly is not very good. The arm rest moves in this case.

So I am happy with it but always thing about not giving to much weight on it.

Hope that helps - greetimgs from Germany

Just fitted an Armster armrest, so be interesting to see how it/we, get on ...
It certainly looks nice.

It seems ok. Have to get used the position a bit, as it's quite large.
When parking over night, I raise the armrest, so I can ensure the hand brake is firmly on.
