Hello, does anyone (UK) have experience of purchasing / using a X Cross Plus Car Cover? Researching, you can get generic ones on Amazon for about £30 - looks like a tarp with a couple of clips - general reviews are not great when the wind picks up / poor quality fixings - the other end of the scale you can get more fitted ones for £250 upwards.

Any advice gratefully received.

Thanks!

I had a generic one many years ago, (still got it somewhere), just a top cover. A big faff putting it on and tethering it, and prone to lifting on windy nights. Although if windy, less likely to freeze. Did keep the ice off overnight, but then you have a less flexible, large mass of plastic sheet, needing somewhere to live during the day. If you have a garage, it goes in there, to make everything damp, causing your spanners to rust. If left outside, it will be no good for the next night. Easier to scrape the windows.
Summary: Seems like a good idea, becomes too much trouble.
