no ya cant lol im always lagging + i want to download my applications and things alot more quicker than leaving my pc on overnight downloading films and things. its no good on the electric bills!!
exactly and i dont play quake 2 i play COD4! and every now and then i get pings of 500+ its like WTF!
Some providers have crap routing! this is why your pings will be bad.
Also make sure you play on local/european servers to get decentish pings.
Never play on american servers or expect to see 150ms+

yeah last time i went on an american server my mate who owned the server had to adjust the config server file and make his maximum ping more higher to allow me to join and when i joined i had a ping over 700 he was one of the first to start up a custom server on cod4 so i wanted to see what the custom maps was like and things.

I say we make our own broadband provider up called FiatForumBroadBrandSuperFastQuickUltraMegaSpeed Package.
Plusnet throttle bandwidth between 8am and midnight which is probably why you cant download stuff until after midnight. I leave my PC on all the time and always set my downloads to "go" after midnight.
As for your gaming ping, if you stick to Uk servers you should be okay. I'm the same on CS:S, but my ping and latency are fine on UK servers. I only occasionally have problems to certain servers in the uk for some reason.
Oh...and I'm with Plusnet lol
One way to get around it is to change package...possibly to the gamers package, that should see your rates drop and your download speeds drop I think.

I get pings of 60ms to my server in france on CSS using proper rates 22000 100 100.
I get that to the UKCS servers in the Uk in CS:S...but cant for the life of me remember what my rates are lol

Ill be pleased to tell everyone that today i have ordered my new broadband "BE Unlimited" as i 100% trust them.
Downloads speeds increase, even?
My friend is on the gamers' package, and I've seen him downloading torrents at 5Mb/s (his line speed) at peak time.
You 100% trust them already? I don't trust any company 100%...

Yes i sure do as i recommended them to a family member and they told me they was really good with there speeds which i already knew this from research and the fact that its " unlimited downloads " is a bonus and only £17.50 per month excellent!
PS just waiting on my MAC code from this crappy provider which i will get tomorrow.

Look for a "*" by the wording "unlimited downloads" and then look at the small print. Often you'll find a "fair useage" policy applies and your ISP can still restrict of even cut you off if your downloading is deemed as excessive.
