Hi everyone

Has anyone removed the rear wheel arch liner on their cross/4x4, mine are out of alignment and i would like to put them back in so it's flush. All the clips look to be in, it is just the very end of the wheel arch ( top corner section ) where it joins the trim from the bumper. Picture attached.
I was thinking to maybe put some double sided tape, if that's what it already uses??

🍻

There is definitely some double sided tape at the very back edge (at least) of that trim. I had my bumper off to do parking sensors and its difficult to put it back without strtetching that tape. Look back or search in the thread for some better detail as someone else posted some proper drawings from ePER I think. (of the front) If its just the trim rather than the liner, I would possibly try and get some tape behind the edge but care or you may easily make this worse, You would need to make sure its clean and dry and clamp carefully for a couple of hours until its really stuck. Im retty sure there are also clips and possibly screws involved. Difficulty will be cleaning things off without entirly removing the trim.

Thanks mate, that's reassuring if there is some double sided tape in there, it's not urgent but I know it's there and I've seen a few like mine, but the majority have nice flush fitting trims.
Funnily enough, both sides are exactly the same, I can push them in flush but it's pushes back out a couple of mm.

Have a look at my parking sensors guide there are a few pics that may help.

I see flush fitting trims :)
Don't see any tape, but you removed the smaller bumper side trim.
That smallbit has no tape, its two / 3 screws. On its end is a loop that fits under the trim on the wheel arch base. If you take the bumper off you really need to remove the bumper section to prevent the arch section from being lifted. There really is no give in the sticky tape, hence removing the bumper is probably the cause of the trims being loose. Im like you wanting them back flush but not sure how to go about it. Im tempted to try superglue to be honest. I think it might be necessary to remove the trim and start again to get it back flush. I might try with a scalpel removing enough tape to get a new section on the end. If you manage to restick the trims do let us know. I may ask my body shop man how he would approach it.

Thanks, that's useful info.
Next stage would be to find out how to remove the arch trim correctly. I may too look at seeking advise from a bodyshop / mechanic.
If I find a solution I will update the post.
