I had a "pi$$ colour" metallic fluorescent green Cinquecento Soleil. Great colour. ;)

Punto's are a little curvier and need a colour that accentuates that. 426a Midnight Blue is nice but the colour I've picked out for my Sporting could be better.

The pics theres a lot more pictures and process on my other feed . Punto gt restoration .

Mate if you have fluorescent green urine i would get to the doctor sharpish :p

With all the work that's gone into my punto what's it worth ???? Its insured for £2000 but is it only worth what people are willing to pay .... don't thinks there's to many as clean as thud tho

well i think you hit the nail square on the head with 'what people are willing to pay'.

I think it would take time to sell a GT at £2k+ but eventually someone would come along and pay that much i'm sure. They are great cars and they are damn rare now too, but they just don't seem to be old enough yet for people to consider them rare or a classic. Sure cars like yours in a few years could start to comand a reasonable price. That said, old fiats are just not many peoples idea of a classic and so prices are generally pretty low anyway. Sucks a bit.

Have you got receipts for parts and work etc, most places will offer agreed valuation but you have to prove how much its costed.. Whether time spent on metalwork and paint would count though i'm not sure.

I once (or was it twice) went to the dealers.
A fellow customer showed me over his Mk2 ELX? Met claret paint with claret velour seats.
Convinced me that matching inside & out colourways can make the car look higher class.
Never felt the same about my Punto Mk 2 (emerald green with royal blue seats!) again.

I pass a VW dealers just about every day.
Row-on-row of black & silver, a few white, maybe a solo red Scirroco.
It’s a good reminder that black, white or silver is saleable stock - & any colour outside that comes under the Marmite effect.

Where do you think Mountain Dew comes from?

When Up Yer Ronson had a Mountain Dew and Vodka special in 1998 the blue lights (so smack heads can't find a vain) in the toilets made your pee look like a light saber. :slayer:
