I have a ecu bosch m2.7 0261203841 from a Fiat Punto 1.4 GT with a no start situation due to immobilizer blocks, yellow light blinks on instrument cluster, so i unlock ecu and car starts.

Hello,

From what I understood you've removed the immobilizer from the ECU config so there will be no protection on the car. Is it correct?

I assume you don't have a theft insurrance, but if someone has it, won't this modification cancel the insurrance if the vehicle will be recovered?

And on the other hand, you're just showing to the bad guys how to start a stolen car... :p

yes an old 1995 model there will be wait many to steal it...no value at all
did you understand how to unlock ecu?
no one can do it, nothing to learn to anyone, nothing to teach
simple help someone to start his vehicle due to immobilizer problem, before car goes to scrap...

To 'help' everyone who wants to do it. From my point of view this can be harmful. And I won't change my mind.
That is OK as you are entitled to your view. This type of info is all over the Internet. As a moderator here I'm happy with the original post.

Were the orginal car owner to take his car to a professional company they would have done the same. Only difference would be that the professional company would:

o Advise on info like verhicle warranty, insurance etc.
o Got the cusotmer to sign a T&Cs / Release document

Everyone ..... let's move on.
