That wasn't the issue. They charged the previous owner £450 for parts and labor knowing the car would fail due to rust hoping she would pay the £600 they quoted to do the welding.
She went out, bought a brand new Panda and sold the Fizz to me.
All done and re-booked for tomorrow afternoon.
Now this car has no sunroof. Good for a motor sport application. With 103,000 miles on the clock, forty something "Fizz" models on the road and even though the car is one owner from new with every M.O.T and service done at the same garage I wouldn't feel too guilty about the ubiquitous Punto 75 conversion or more. Good news.
On the road the lack of sunroof means I'll have to come up with a different way of dealing with tailgaters.
A few hazard light flashes and hand signal to politely suggest they back off followed by a few squirts of "Liquid Ass" from the open sunroof if they fail to do so. :devil:
Don't work in Lincolnshire as it smells like that most of the time anyway.

I'm back in a Panda and I had forgotten how bad the Womlings Effect was. My journey into town was a gauntlet of people pulling out of junctions, ignoring me in contraflow lanes and blasting their horns because I had right of way and was sticking to it, being tailgated, cut up at roundabouts and the general confusion when people can not tell the difference between a small car and one that's far away. :bang:
Despite my happy little car I wasn't in the best of moods when I got to the town centre and the icing on the cake was two arses taking up three spaces in the half hour spots round the back of Blackfriars Street.
But then I remembered I was in a small Italian car...
...so two arses and dick in three spaces. And I still had enough room to open my tailgate. :slayer:

I miss my old Fiat shed if anyone parked that close standard procedure was to reverse back until I felt the bumpers give reverse some more then pull out. Entirely aware it was a dick move, however at the time didn't give a damn.

I know it just reminded me of other things. I'd get the Mazda in there..with a forklift..and maybe some cutters for the handbrake on the terrano.
