General What's a buzzin?

I have a Fiat 500 1.2. Nice little runner.
When I open the door in the morning I can hear a wirring sound for about a second, coming from the front of the car.
Checked the old elbow and it's not me!
The car is fitted with the Dualogic gearbox.
Any ideas?

The hydraulic pump for the gear change system..

My dualogic TA does the same, and I think my panda does a similar thing, but is much quieter...

It's the gear change hydraulics - the pump runs to pressurise the system ready for that first gear change you'll need when you start the engine up after getting in.

As others have said it's only the Selespeed pump priming. Perfectly normal.

Mines does the same it actually scared the crap out a little kid who was walking across the road in front of me with his mum had a little chuckle
