Hopefully most of you have looked at my road trip thread and pics ,in the
"much travelled" thread.
Anyone wanting to do similar needs to think about their emissions rating.
I also would like confirming what rating my May ,by VIN on the list on this forum ,1997 P reg car is ?
I am led to believe it is a Euro 2 but not 100% on that.
Also are later ,facelift cars ,2002 to 2005 a better rating ?
Be useful to know.
I have an "umwelt" sticker which allows access to many German cities with these zones.
Sticker is valid for life of car or until rules are changed.
Did you know that Brussels has a LEZ ?
I only found out through a link when looking at the Interclassics show I went to last winter.
Potential big fine if you don't comply.
France has the "crit air" scheme for Paris ,Lyon and a few other cities ,others being added bit by bit.
Italy has LEZ in place in many cities ,not exactly well publicised but signs in place as you near the zones.
They also have ZTLs ,only accessible to residents with the correct permit or a hotel visitor with prior arrangement.
TLDR...just need confirmation of emission rating for my car and everyone should check before entering any city for it's restrictions.
