General Wave

Awww - Fankoo!

............t'is true - I have not been waved at yet. "Sophia" - [the car] has been smiled at a few times now, although that usually grinds to a grimace when they look inside and see an old fartie at the wheel.
Hey I'm only old to the naked eye, and on the inside my Fu is strong!!

Thanks for the thought - it's appreciated.

Hey Im no young sort myself but I love My Fiat 500 "Newt" ;) EERR have another wave  without the grimace LOL xx
P.S Who said the Fiat 500 was only for young sorts ?

That's a point - Nobody did - WOOHOO!............ I'm trendy again, it's been soooo long.
Just calling it "trendy" dates me? - But what the heck ........ I'MMMM BAAACK.

Just kidding of course, but even though there are thousands of these little buggers whizzing all about the place, it really does make you feel as though you are driving the only one - and yet, so happy to see another.
Millions of years ago I used to drive a Renault 4, a student at the time and it was known as the "Art Car", a nervous little filly - but I loved her never the less. She passed away at a set of traffic lights in the middle of Hull - an ignominious end..... bless her.

Anyhoo........... before I go all bleary eyed - may I return you all a big smiley wave from the giddy ramparts of wrinkledom.

Bon chance.......... mes amis!

A few years ago i had a Fiat Cing.Sporting in Bright Yellow (Broom Yellow) So got loads of looks from teen girls, till they realised the guy driving was old enough to be their Dad,I will not say Grandfather,Ha Ha!!
I got the same reaction in my Panda 100HP and in my Smart Car.
Any young girl would be happy to go out with Mick Jagger,Rod Stewart,Ron Wood,Even Cliff Richard, and they are all in their 60s or 70s,so why not us? I guess it helps to have millions in the bank.

those were the days no speed cameras, just the odd sheep LOL

I have a new bravo an do the fiat wave thing....most don't wave back....maybe you just have to be in the exclusive 500 club haha

Perhaps some people just don't feel that because you own a 500 and they do too that there's some deep mystical connection....

It is more of a acknowledgement for a fellow Fiat 500 owner :worship: My first wave came from, I assume, a Girlfriend and Boyfriend. They waved like crazy at us both, it was so funny. My Husband and I smiled all the way home. It was just memorable and something I feel is lacking in our society these days. We are all so busy doing and not taking a moment to jusy say Hi even if to a stranger.

I think there are far bigger issues that owners of the same cars not waving at each other.

If I'm waved at I always respond, I'm from Bristol too.

Of course there are! - There are some REALLY big issues. But you'll find as you grow up that most of them you can do nothing or very little about.
So in order to deal with the harsh realities some folk choose to reach out to like minds and sympathetic choices, and a little wave through the windscreen on a dark and gloomy day is small acknowledgement of contact and kindness.
It's not too much to ask - and even less to give!
Well.............. for some people anyway.

Waving is nothing new.Years ago in the 70s i had a Triumph Spitfire and an MGB and all fellow drivers in each model waved to each other.
I have found bikers nod to each other far more.I once had a small 125cc bike and all bikers gave me a nod even those on 1000 cc machines.
I had one of the first Smart cars some years ago and we all waved to each other, however i now have the latest Smart car and hardly any Smart driver waves any more.

Here ya go Maxi  Only took a second. No one can fix anything in that short of a time. And I'm well aware of the more important things that are happening in this country and around the world. A free smile or a wave helps people forget their problems, if only for just a moment.

:ROFLMAO: :) Again with the "oh you must be a horrible person" stuff :ROFLMAO:

Do you people have nothing better to do than make hilariously innacurate mental diagnoses of people from how they act on an internet Fiat 500 forum?
