Don't worry I haven't forgotten about my daily driver
Twas havin a gander through the Sei forum and I found a post on spigot rings. More importantly on why you need them. Well remember my gearbox from the first page? Heres the reason it ended up like that...
Yep, no rings

for a miserable £7 it could have saved all that unnecessary catastrophe along with saving my trailing arms and arbs (rear arb and trailing arm need replacing)
Wondering why I'm showing that wheel? I had to replace the set I pillaged off another car here

But I've done it right this time
And with a set of wobblies that solved that
Now onto my car
If you didn't know, when you fiddle with the stepper motor ie use washers, the car will have very poor idling at startup. Wit high lift cams its almost impossible to keep it running after startup. So I decided enough is enough
First is to whip the trim off...
I had to source another plug. Not an issue
You can guess what I'm doing by now

A certain wire is not required, so out it came
Now to expose the wires by moving the jacket...
Now some connectors would be nice
And some extra wires. Make sure its the same thickness and has a proper contact with this wire
Seal it up!
Then cut it in half
Now what about the other halves?
Good to go

out with the drill
A big bit I may add... End result
Now why did I bother doing all that work?
If I revert to the old system I can flawlessly

End result with no cover yet
And a demo video. Just if your wondering, this car is a nightmare to start, the accelerator needs pumping gently otherwise it will not start. This is because of the stepper motor not being attached to the tb and the high lift cams
Keep watching this for more random posts....!
