lol thanks, 70mm off the throttle body all the way down to the filter makes a hell of a difference. should have really taken a picture of the amount of plastic and rubber that i didnt need by the time i was finished no wonder it hinders the performance

does anyone knw wat size tubes id need to do wat averagejo has done but on a 1.2 16v and also wat happens to the other pipes that come off the tube that going to the throttlebody?

i was gonna take the pipe off but i dnt like the look of the clip on it and i havent got a jublie clip to replace it with

Just break the factory clips off the intake and measure, if you dont have a jub clip to secure it back after just use a few cable ties till you have. as for all the old pipes etc you can keep them after but as I couldn't get the stock airbox out in one piece I didn't see the point so just thew them out.

you can measure the diameter without removing anything, measure the circumference and divide it by pi.

any vacuum hose(s) should be connected to the new intake pipe, some people do not do this and instead attach a breather filter to the end of the pipe. this can affect crankcase ventilation because there will no longer be anything sucking on the pipe (intake vacuum does this usually).

In order not to loose torque against the factory set-up you need to go down in diameter before the throttle body. Also it is advisable to get a smooth tube.
