Hi,
Greetings! I have a Knaus converted 2014 Ducato Multijet 2.3 (LHD). I love the van but have had some issues with various bits of the Fiat platform
I have been trying to upgrade the maps on the uConnect 5" but I cannot get the unit to prepare a USB stick to do the upgrade. I have used many (many) USBs but all fail with a 9000000 error. The unit does actually write a file to the USB so I know it sees the port and can actually write to the sticks but it will not go through the prepare process. I opened a ticket with TomTom last year about it and after pestering them for nearly 6 months they eventually said was a Fiat problem.
Note that I was successful in upgrading the maps several years ago so it did work at sometime!
I decided yesterday to see if I could see anything with multiecuscan. I did a proxi align for kicks too but that didn't help. What I did notice was that the display unit has no VIN entered. I had the display changed out by Fiat several years ago as the LEDs were glowing due to the known Fiat issue. A long shot I know but I was wondering if there might be something missing in the new display unit that the uConnect thing reads to prepare the USB.
To be honest I don't expect a definitive answer but any prompts on where I might look further would be most appreciated.
Cheers
