A few people are having issues with this code and I thought I'd try an help, 99% percent of the time the only reason that error code appears is due to a fault with the engine, so as soon as the engine light comes on it shuts down the ABS ECU causing the u1701 fault to appear because the engine ecu can not communicate with the ABS ecu.

Thus you should check the codes in the engine ecu, if none are available you should cary out checks on the fuel injectors as they have a habit of being faulty but not putting a error code in the engine ecu, so that's why the u1701 code appears, otherwise a chaifed wire by the engine ecu is also another problem.

With the obd2 code U1701-87 engine control module, we replaced the engine control module, the body, and it still does not turn on. The vehicle is locked, it presents me with a padlock on the control panel. I'd appreciate your help
