Hi All.
I'm planning on a nut n bolt restoration with new rims CMR. I currently have standard steel rims fitted with 125SR12 CN54. I need to replace the tyres however, I want to fit 135SR/70/12 on the old rims then move them onto the new when I'm ready. Will this work?

TIA

I think that you will have no problem with fitting 135 tyres, but why not use the extra width of the new tyres better and fit them onto Mk 1 "126" wheels which are 4 inch wheels---same wheel bolt pattern---190pcd, but MK1 wheels, NOT the Mk2 wheels which have the later 98pcd wheel-bolt pattern. Do not forget---BOTH of these wheels will require inner-tubes to be fitted as they do NOT have the tyre-rim retaining ridge built into them

Hi. Thanks for your info appreciated. I’m planning on buying new CMR tubeless rims later this year, fitting on the old rims is temporary until then.
Thanks again.
