Hi all,

I need your help to make a decision please:

I want to buy a fiat500 in green Matt , and I have two options in the market where I live :

1- Fiat 500 S 1,2L 4 Zylinder ( manufacture year 2016 )
2- Fiat 500 S TwinAir 0.9L ( manufacture year 2018 ) this option is 1000€ more expensive.

Which option would you chose ?

Cheers 🍻

Which option would you chose
The 1.2, without any doubt whatsoever.

There are three potentially expensive repairs which might be needed on a 6yr old TA; the DMF, the uniair module and the turbocharger. It's down to luck whether you'll actually need to replace any of these during your period of ownership, but none are likely to be cheap if you do need to.

The 1.2 has none of those parts, and the risk of an unexpected repair bill in the multiple thousands of euros is much less.

Depends on your driving requirement, the slowest 500 on the market (1.2), or something a bit lively, that will be fun to drive (0.9).
As we all know fun often leads to heartache  we often underestimate steadfast reliability  the slowest 1.2 will still do 80mph on the motorway(if you can stay awake of course🤣)

Thanks! That’s a solid tip and that’s why I joined this group 👌

Offcourse I would prefer more active engine, but I also want to have less chances of engine faults 🥲

🤣🤣
.. with the wind behind you, and no passengers or luggage.
Shame the OP can't have a test run in both?
Hehe I drove the 1.2 and I find the acceleration a bit slow especially after having a mini cooper, but the twin is a bit far away so I couldn’t drive it yet.
