Torrent sites?

Well then everything shouldnt be so overpriced then should, dont no your income and cercumstances but ther are people out there who work day in day out and have no luxery and its good that torrents movies can be downloaded.

Uf they were more reasonably priced i would buy the original just for the fact of having the covers.

Like i said before its for personal use not to make money.

I know at least 1 thing about your personal Finances. You drive a 2.0l Turbo Coupe. This means If you have no spare cash it's your own making.
You have made the decision to own something pleasurable that costs a lot of money that could be spent on other things.
Normally people have to make sacrifices in this situation. Myslf included. Not stealing other peoples work.

If everybody was to jump off a bridge would you follow? Using the fact that everybody does it just doesn't cut the mustard.
Whether you like a film or not this creativity only exists to make money and employs millions of people. It nobody wants to pay then the industry will cease to exist and we will all be left with nothng.

We live in a smething for nothing society and one way or another things will drastically change here in the west at least. In a very short period of time.

ever recorded a film/program off the television or recorded a song from the radio........

tbh, torrents are gonna be around forever really...and artists have money...yeah they loose it from people not 'stealing' but sharing...which infact gets unsigned bands or even DJ's more known...i aint gonna spend £8 on a cd, when 2 songs are only good...people should be doing for the music not the money...even films, they still take a massive profit, even with millions using torrents...

thats fine as long as you remember to delete before the end of a month

Then what makes downloading from the internet any different?

Besides who didn't have a cupboard full of VHS tapes before the likes of dvds and hdd recorders.

No one is coming after the casual downloader of the odd film/album. It's the major seeders that have to be on their guard and the majority are in countries that have different laws anyway.

Anything companies do to prevent sharing is met with even more eagerness to do it. The games industry is a massive example, coders love the chance to be the first to crack a new game and as long as the games industry introduces newer, harder to crack games the cracking community will flourish and make them available.

It's all about the challenge of getting away with something people are trying to prevent.

the fact when you download it the tv company dont register your watch. and so may not get enough views and not pay for another season

Ok, we all gathered you are anti- everything to do torrents.

BUT it won't change the fact it happens. I can tell you right now, if I download a movie, that doesn't mean the 'artist' or shop has lost out on £15 because basically, I wouldn't have paid £15 to begin with. More than likely, I would have waited to get it off a car-boot sale for 50p  - so in that case, surely car-boot sales should be banned as well, or infact buying anything copyrighted off eBay ... :chin:
