Hello,

It looks like some kind of mount or bracket. Could be from the neighbour's cars. It could make a sound if you drove on it with a tire, which made it move or even bump a little. That's how puncturing rear tires works. We drive on a flat lying metal piece with the front wheel, the piece bumps and changes its position to standing ang gets in front of the rear tires, which then drives on it and gets punctured.

What's the engine and year of your Panda?

You've got here the parts catalogue with diagrams, perhaps you'll be able to find something that looks like the part on the photos.

The file is tsv so i cant open. The car is fiat panda 2012. I drove my wife to work today i can not seem to notice anything major. But i do deliveries so for sure i will if something has unmounted. I asked my mechanic too and he also cant recall what this part is for. May be my neibour left some bits as he used the parking space in front of my house while i am working. I went under too but i can not see any damage

I think that looks a bit like a bracket or counterweight on the top, outside of the gearbox relating to the the cables from the gear-lever. The part marked number 5 here. In the car this is really hard to see as it’s underneath the metal tray the battery sits in.
This post shows where to look (see the second photo) https://www.fiatforum.com/threads/gear-change-cables.489785/#post-4619583

Ok well monday is my day off so if its not something that can break something i can proceed to then i hope. The only thing troubling me is when i took it from the ground it was hot

Because it’s low down in the engine bay and on top of the gearbox — it gets pretty warm down there :)
Also, it could have fallen off earlier and sat on the subframe by the exhaust and then fallen from there where you parked.
I think it’s just a weight, which helps ‘swing’ the levers that the ends of the cables operate - you might find the gearchange feels like it needs more of a push into gear?

May be its possible that i do. I also feel some sound like a tiny bit grinding when shifting gears not sure if its related. The more i think about it the more i believe that may be when he banged the oil sump to disconnect it with a hammer then it might have loosened some bolts. Hopefully only this.
I later on suggested to use heat gun to remove future sumps as this banging looked a bit arhaic.

In which section did you find this drawing so i can see the name of the part?

It did! Thanks so much. Gear stick flex shaft doesnt sound good..
So number 5 is a damper. And i have two of them. Do i read it right? I have two of these:
DAMPERCC0.9+!407,CC1.21
5DAMPERCC1.3

My mechanic can not see it on fiat 500 so hope on fiat is different. Nuovo and my car i assume are similar. Mine is also produced 2012. 1.2 petrol

I cant find this part under this name at all online. Might have to ask the dealers at arnold clark

Yes, Nuovo is all Pandas after 2012.
The name doesn't always help as it is translated from Italian, and not always correctly :)
But the part number should work -- 55194934 (you only have one: the engine sizes are next to each part number - the first one is the 0.9 TwinAir and the 1.2 Petrol. The other part number is for the 1.3 Diesel)
I'd call it a weight personally...

Yeah i found this but the damper part looks different on the drawing. So i wonder if ordering the bokd and washer would be same size.

Not sure that you'd need to order the bolt from a dealer - it's a pretty standard part. One EU based parts place shows it for sale for 32cents (of a Euro). Stoneacre Fiat show it as £13!! You know the thread size as you have the hole it screws into. I'd just drop into a motor factors and see what they have that fits. The original part appears to have thread locking compound on it, based on the photo here https://www.miprixauto.com/gb/fiat-...-alfa-romeo-lancia-original-oem-46429284.html -- a quick blob of Loctite Threadseal will do that for you.

You are right. We installed it! But sadly it looks like i have to change manual transmission cable and a clutch. I cant understand how all of a sudden but the clutch started to grind. Supposedly all liquid coming from the break fluit is ok.

yes, my understanding is the brakes and the clutch do indeed share the same fluid from a single reservoir on all 2012+ Pandas (the Handbook says so) - but I don’t know how this is achieved…

Simply by a pipe running from the brake fluid reservoir to the clutch master cylinder.
