hi, since iv had my amped 6x9's iv had a problem with one of them, i thought it was a blown speaker to start with so i took it out (stealth shelf) and to my surprise it was? the tweeter dome had split, so i sent he 6x9s back and got some replacements, i installed these and noticed one wasnt reacting at all to bass? so i thought it was more broken speakers, sent them back, got new ones, (warrenty is now out of date), and still i have one of them not working properly, it distorts and doesnt have bass. i didnt think it was the amp because the "broken" speaker was on different sides each time, but i tested the amp anyway, it seems that the 6x9 connected to the left outputs (See Pic) dosent work, i have chenged the fuses but now im stuck. firstly, the amp:

Not really alot we can suggest, maybe contact the company and see if they will replace it, explain your situation. Ive always found Loudest.com to have excellent customer service and I have returned unused equipment in the past for a full refund! (bought some speakers but decided not to bother fitting them as it ment a custom install)

All of my equipment is Loudest.com and its superb stuff. Seems you may just have a duff amp unfort, or poss its taken a nocking in the boot and damaged it etc, who knows...

I wouldn't buy theloudest.com stuff purely looking at the specs - I mean, come on, 2kW 6x9s? Massively overrated. Even 350W RMS seems high to me for a set of speakers. There has been a lot of discussion on other forums about the quality of theloudest equipment; in summary, their higher powered amps could be a cheap source of power for SPL type applications (they seems to be based on Massive Audio circuitry, MA is generally regarded as a decent brand), but the main advice is to stay away.

As to your amp problem, it sounds like something on the circuitry for the left channel has a blown component on the output side, something like an output transistor or the RCA itself has gone up the swanny.

(i had the stuff professionally fitted first time round, with an active sub aswell took that out the other week as i found out i have an intermittent fault with the alternator)I took everything out today. and found the earth cable was attached to the lashing loops in the boot carpet, on removing the loops i found they were covered in a goo (probably used to seal from water) but goo is no good for earthing so i cleaned the area, sanded the beige-ish floor metal to a nice clean metal and got rid of the goo. connected it all back up and it seems to have improved. with the 6x9's and amp out of the way and working. its now time to sort out those stupid rattling rear panel speakers!:bang: i might just disconnect them as i cant see changing them making any difference to the rattling as its too close to the outer skin?

bushboy-yes the loudest do have excellent cust. service, i also had everything from the loudest, but i really couldnt fit the 6.5 door speakers, i dont have the knowlege and the place i use to get stuff fitted said they would need all day to take the doors apart!

Chaos-i too thought they were going to be stupidly overrated and not stand up to the spec, but compared to my first set of kenwood 6x9s the loudest really are awesome! the magnet on the bottom is about 5 times the size of the kenwoods and they weigh a tonne!

I'm afraid I'm going to have to beg to differ a bit. I would not trust a brand which claims to have 2kW full range speakers. In fact, you'd be hard pushed to find another brand which has full range speakers at 350W RMS. That to me is not necessarily a good thing. I will say that their amps could be a cheap source of 1kWRMS ish power, but I wouldn't buy their stuff TBH. Like I would stay away from 6x9s (and that's the only time I'll mention it, I promise ;))

chaos has spread the bug of disliking 6x9s. and im afraid ive caught it. as soon as i saw the parcelshelf of a fiesta with four 6x9s hacked into it, the line had been crossed! and 350watts rms for such speakers seems like a bit of a stretch? the pioneer subs ive got are claimed to be 350w rms 1000w peak, and they are 12". i cant see 6x9s packing a similar punch in an attractive way. sorry buddy :S
