DONT BUY AN AUTOMATIC FIAT 500 with a sELEspeed gaerbox.
It will fail on you at acost of some £2k and FIAT will not help at all with this well known fault.

Suggest anyone who has experienced the sELEspeed gear box failure reports the issue to DVLA.
DVLA want to hear about any fault with a Car that is potentially life threatening - dropping out of gear on a motorway, crossroads, traffic lights etc can have disastrous consequences.
AS FIAT don't want to recognize the issue, maybe the DVLA will help them, so please report this fault to them.

Yes I agree but DVLA are as lazy and useless as Fiat and not remotely interested. I suppose they no longer have enough staff to do a proper job.

Huh. Every Fiat has a personality and should be given a name each is hterefore rare and precious to its owner. Just as well seeing as the sellers are far from honest and straight forward.
To own a fiat you have First to be quite mad, and eccentric and and thick skinned, AND, above all an enthusiast. Without these characteristics it will not go well.

Actually, I bet if Abarths were included in the poll it'd skew it a bit - generally enthusiast-oriented cars' owners have a much bigger internet presence than their model's sales would suggest, so you'd probably find the Abarth was the 'most popular 500' purely because there are more Abarth-owning regular posters on here.
