P-Reg A6 1.8

ahh the URa6, possibly the best built tank on the planet. also they used the same (damn similar) floorpan from late 100's so 1988? to 2004/5

but the 1.8 was a waste of space, as was the 2.0 NA, and the 1.9 tdi, really needed a bigger engine and it to be an estate to appreciate them.
2.6 is bare minimum.
we've had the 2.8quattro avant, and are just looking for a 2.2turboquattro now (5cyl of 5pot sexiness) also known as the URs6

AlexR, back on topic, IMO the first A4's were the best, some great innovations in them, and a world better built than the equiv mundano or vectra.

so they should be for the price lol, has a pretty impressive spec.
6 cd changer, electric mirrors/windows, air con/digital display for the blowers and all that. the oil temp and volt guage is pretty cool too

ay, the earlier audi's (better audis ;) ) had the voltage, oil temp and clock (sometimes oil pressure aswell) in th centre above the three vents.
and youcan change the centre upper 3vents temp differently to all the other vents.

if you get a REALLY high spec one, well any decent A8 worth its salt, you get seperate blower/climate controls in the rear console too. and on quite a few company car audi's you get the auxilary heating, its a seperate battery and heater thing with a timer under the door armrest that heats up/defrosts the car for when you go to work on a frozen winter morning:cool:

i can fall asleep looking at that, and drivng one is just as exciting (i prefer driving a passat tbh!). shame really because its a good car and it doesn't do anything wrong, but its boring.
