Hi Everyone,

On the theme of problems with the Grande Punto, I was driving down the A1 yesterday afternoon when all of a sudden the temperature gauge shot through the roof and red warning light and message appeared telling me to stop immediately and turn off engine.

I pulled up and got the AA out. They gave it the all clear after an hour of waiting for them. They followed me down the road for 50 Miles without further problem.

Has anybody else had a similar problem?

Its booked in for the morning, the dealership reckons its a faultly sensor we shall see.

Keep you posted.

Been having the usual sweeky brakes which they reckon is dust, glovebox inner kept falling out which is fixed now, scratch on the dashboard. The later are sorted - brakes still squealing in slow speeds. Not sure about the windscreen washers when travelling.

I am relieved then that someone else has had a similar problem. It certainly took me by surprise

I'll post the verdict after its been to the garage
