Technical Swapped seats, now seat belt alarm works the opposite way.

Hey guys.

So as the title states, I swapped my seats for a set out of a Punto Evo because the old ones were worn through in a few areas. Everything went swimmingly, or so I thought. When I turned on the car I tried to put my bags on the passenger seat which usually triggers the seat occupancy sensor (or whatever it's called) so I have to just keep the seat belt fastened to get rid of the infernal beeping. However after this swap I find that the seat belt alarm only comes on when the seat belt is fastened, and goes away if I unclip it. What the h...eck!? Does Evo seats have some of the wiring reversed, or what is happening here?

Have you disconnected the battery before playing with the cables?

Check on the forum ePER (link on bottom of the forum banner) for part numbers - it could give you the answer.
