Hi can anyone tell me what tool is needed to remove the sump plug please on a 2007 1.2 Dynamic, looks like a female housing, but haven't had it on stands yet, and can't tell. Would just like to know so that I can buy if necessary before getting it off the ground.
Also bought oil and air filter yesterday from Europarts (surprisingly Halfords don't stock them) and the oil filter looks much smaller than the Unipart one currently on there. Only 2.5 / 3 inches high compared to around 5 or 6 inches on the Unipart. It is a Bosch part no 1St/Pc P3300 0 451 103 300-724
When I go on Europarts site there appear to be two oil filters listed for 2004 on, one this small one, one that looks more the correct size. Have I got the right one with the small one, or doesn't it matter which one I use. Any help appreciated. Thanks. Steve.

I bought a genuine fiat filter a while back and that measured 70 mm in dia x 85mm in height fiat part number is 0046544820 ..I asked about the two numbers for the 1.2 oil filter and was given " there is only one filter for the 1.2 the other number just tells us there is an alternative " :bang:

Hex key is 12mm [from what I remember ]is needed to get the sump plug out..:)

You do need a 12mm hex key to remove the sump plug.
It could well have been overtightened so don't buy a cheap version of the key shown on the last post. If you use this type of key you might need to slip a bar over it to gain leverage or knock it with a hammer. In either case a cheap key will bend, break or round off.
I would recommend the double-ended sump plug keys that fit into a socket or a strong hex key set that attaches to a socket ratchet.
There are 2 different oil filters for the Panda 1.1 and 1.2 and the only people I've come across who understand the difference are Shop4parts. You give them the chassis no. and they know the right filter.

Thanks folks, think I'll check back at Europarts, see what they say about the filter.

I actually use these Doc..what I showed was just an example..:)

Saves you taking out that contraption you use and turning it ..:p

Ratchets are the way forward..;)

After many years of owning all sorts of cars needing all sorts of sump plug tools I now have 3 of the old double ended items that fit in a socket.
However, like yourself, PNL, I bought a similar kit to yours only in my case the hex key bits fit into a single holder which then plugs into a half inch ratchet.
Needed it because more and more cars use hex key bolts.
Tools have always been a problem for me, increasingly so as we have ended up with 4 car owners in the family, and guess who has to service and fix them.
Currently 2 Pandas, 1 Honda Jazz and 1 Corsa.

I certainly now where your going with that..every time you change you car you need another tool or something special so you can imagine no doubt what I have had to accumulate after 40 years of repairing mine and the family and some of my friends..all jammed into my workshop along with my pillar drill. metal cutting saws..welders etc..will have to have a sort out some time cant take them with me at the end of the day none of my children have any interest in auto repairs and it might be nice to see them go to a good home or an apprentice thats just starting up..already passed one welder and cables onto an apprentice on here lets just hope he has the same enjoyment it gave me for the years I used it..(y)
