Here's better photo's of one of the painted wheels close up.

I love this.

Got the new tyres onto the wheels today.

And since I had a little time I got the engine onto the bench so I can start cleaning it and making it look presentable. As much as I like the braided fuel pipe I'm going to replace it with ordinary pipe to keep things original.

I got the Cilit bang out and sprayed it on the one side to de-grease the block. It works a treat. this was after 10 minutes.

And I ordered new front dampers, track arms, bal joints and track rod ends today so they should be here by Thursday.

All my nice new bits arrived today for the front suspension. Dampers, track rod ends, control arms and ball joints.

First job of the evening was to paint the dampers the same colour as the rears so everything will look original.

I did get the steering rack out to start cleaning it but it was to cold so I gave up and went in.

Due to work on other cars the last couple of weks the only thing I got done was the carb.

And after using the correct shade of colour when new. Not a great photo but I only realised it after I came in.

 "Hey" I didn't think the car was that bad. Ok its far from perfect I grant you.

Stuart...I have 3 new MK1 thermostats if you need them..don't ask me why I have them..

Yes please, I actually do need one. (y)

I painted the carb, well sprayed it actually with carb colour spray. You get it from Frosts website. I love the finish it gives. I first used it on the 127 Sport and it just seemed to look right.

Oh nearly forgot. the new clutch kit arrived today so got it on tonight.

The old clutch kit apart from a few little surface marks is in surprisingly good condition and the clutch plate itself is in near new condition. If anyone needs one it would do the job well. Actually wonder what other Pandas it fits, I might keep it as a spare.

I don't suppose anyone has a New front passenger wing for a MK1, I'm not happy with the finished result with the one I repaired so I'm going to cut it off and fit a new one.

Are mk1 and mk2 the same Stuart? I think I might have one, but its for a mk2 so might be different? (I think its a mk2 one anyway, will check, I think its a Fiat part number on it also).

No, there's a difference around the front indicator area I think. The MK1 is solid and the Mk2 seems to be an open area, I think.
