Good afternoon, there's a itrritant mistery aka a problem with my ducato 250 van KH1 30 3.0 MultiJet 180. The switchgear-robot has been replaced by the garage and there has been some work done myself with replacing some rubbers in the 'arm' which is part 2 in the attached drawing.
Sometimes there's a short creaking sound coming from underneath the van when I'm slowing down (especially when form 3 to 2 gear, like as if metal parts slide over eachother. Not high pitch sound. The garage's has reset the robot 2 times now but to no avail.
To me it seems the force of breaking/slowing down (the weight-force of the van is in a way put on the gearing system) is the instigator.
Anyone any wxperience with such a issue? sometimes I drive and there's no sound, somtimes with slowing down for every corner there's the creaking sound

whilst riding the van, pushing the throttle in, after speeding let throttle loose, then that creaking sound is to be heard. Could it be the constant velocity joint that is making the noise?

I would be looking at the bushes and bolts you have replaced as the source of the creaking. Did you apply any rubber grease or the like when assembling? Maybe give the bushes etc a quick spray with soapy water and go for a drive and listen?

Together with the person I'd replaced the rubber with (the rubber that's got the aluminum outer ring) we put the ducato on a jack and removed the wheel at the drivers side. All bolts were fastened and with a lever we checked if anything was scouting. al seemed well. Turning the wheel slightly back and forth when it was put on we heard very soft clicks.
Yesterday I took the van for a ride and then the sound was almost gone, just one in a slight sound.
in total what happened;
- The robot got crippeled one day and it had to be replaced by the garage
- after a week I discovered oil leaking, the seals of the axis hadn't been replaced, The garage replaced the sealrings and put 'stockings' over the axis
- a mate and me replaced 2 rubbers that were situated in the control arm, the ones that have to be pressed in wit h hydraulics
- The garage inspected the whole lot in december and reset the robot, all seemed well until 2nd ride
- the garage reset the robot second time and I was present when testriding. all seemed well but the moment the mechanic stopped before the garage the sound was there. The mechanic had no real answer......
Sometimes its present right form the start, another time we can drive and almost nothing happens.

To take away some worries; could this be in the motor or the gearbox r is this like some bearings/ kinetic coupling?
