Technical Stereo Removal

Update on this as I have just received my new Bravo (love it) and successfully fitted the Parrot CK3100.

The dealer (Warrington Fiat) very helpfully removed the stereo for me without charge. They have at least two sets of radio keys and my local ice shop does too.

The Parrot kit took a bit of fitting though, I stripped down the dash and put the electronics down the side of the gear lever as there's not much space behind the stereo.

The wires will fit down behind the heater controls though. I also had to splice an ignition feed off the 12v socket, though this was easy enough to do.

You will just need the right bit to unscrew the dash.

You'll be able to answer my other question then. Is the stereo in the Bravo Double DIN? I'm thinking of fitting a Double DIN sized sat nav headunit if it is?

I think it would take a double din. The visteon stereo is full size, not just a singe din with a big front.

Only problem is the actual fitting cage is set back about a half inch from the front of the dash so its going to take a pretty hefty and well designed fascia adapter to get it looking right. Thats why ive decided to sell my alpine and stick with the Fiat unit until some good fascia adapters come out.
