I’ve watched a ton of videos and read everything I can find…

I‘ve tried every shape of screwdriver, coat hanger and poking device I own…

I’ve pressed, pushed, waggled and jiggled…

Nothing, whatsoever, has made the UConnect stereo in my 66-plate 4x4 move even a millimetre and there is a rattle coming from that area that is so intense I am going to wind up taking a hammer to it…

I know you have to push the “rods” outwards to activate clips and I’ve seen it done… Mine just isn’t doing it though!

Please… Help me! How do I get it out?

I had a similar problem with the radio in my 2014 Easy.
I had to put a slight bend (curve) in the removal tool.
Once it clicked into place rotating the tool so the bend gave the extra couple of mm to release the latches (one at a time) worked a treat.
Hope that helps

Thanks for replying!

I tried something similar but I will definitely give that another go…

Then it’s just a case of working out if the rattle is in the stereo (my C-Class occasionally has a rattle from within the screen 🤦🏻‍♂️ so I’m guessing this is possible), the heater controls or, hopefully, just some cable connectors contacting something hard and being noisy as a result…

I had a CD stuck in my Citroen Relay Camper van player for months, and as a result of this post I set about trying to find a solution, as I have had no luck with all sorts of fiddling, poking,, bad language etc.
First suggestion I found on the net was "Press radio ON button and EJECT button at the same time"
I also found a load of other suggestions including making up a sticky stick, Do a Red Indian rain dance whilst eating a vanilla ice cream, etc etc etc

This morning I tried the first suggestion (as above) and LO AND BEHOLD the CD IMMEDIATELY EJECTED. YIPEEEEE
"Simples!", and I really like Simples

The above has nothing to do with removing a radio or CD player, per se, But I'm so chuffed at getting the CD disc out, I thought you all might like to know. so there you are

This helped immensely. I was going to break something if not for this tip. Thanks a lot!
